The Senior Varsity Mens Volleyball team traveled to Black Diamond to compete in the Drillers tournament. They went through the round robin only dropping one set and finishing first in their pool. The playoffs saw three matches, the first two were easily contained by the Spartans, but the finals were a different story.
In the finals, the boys played against Holly Trinity Academy from Okotoks. They quickly went down 4-11, but came back in a losing effort for the first set. However, the two remaining sets of the match were closely played with scores of 26-24 and 18-16 for the Spartans. They are the three-time defending champion of the tournament and won it this year against a 4A sized school (STS is a 2A school).
