STS Athletic Park - Coming Soon!
Imagine driving onto the Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School (STS) campus, taking a turn on the road, and seeing a beautiful world-class track and athletic field north of the school…we are making this dream a reality and need your help!
As part of the STS campus master plan to enhance our facilities for the future, we are fundraising to build an outdoor track and sports field—a space designed to inspire wellness, foster a sense of community, and cater to the diverse athletic interests of our students, faculty, and community members. Every donation, of every size, will help us reach the finish line!
This space will not only enhance our athletic and summer program offerings but also promote community engagement and support our students’ physical development.
What
- A six-lane, 400-metre oval track and sprint straight lanes
- Multi-sport turf infield for soccer, rugby, field hockey, and more
- Designated spaces for jumping and throwing events
- Spectator seating
- Space for all students, Kindergarten to Grade 12, to play and be active
Why
- To benefit all STS students by offering world-class athletic facilities for multiple age groups and sports.
- To establish our campus as a destination for major sporting events, tournaments, community groups, and summer programs with an expanded brand awareness and revenue generation focus.

Who
- Experts in the field have completed a preliminary feasibility study, and we are now preparing to enter an RFP process. We are committed to partnering with an organization focused on excellence, optimizing play, safety, and performance, and that understands our unique setting and needs as a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school.
When
- Construction will begin in June 2025
- Project completion is scheduled for November 2025
