Senior Varsity Boys Volleyball awarded the Provincial 2A Sportsmanship Banner

We received some exciting news just before the holiday season from the Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association (ASAA) that our Senior Varisty (SV) Boys Volleyball Team were awarded the Sportsmanship Banner for their performance at the 2A Provincial tournament! Our team not only won the Bronze medal, but also won the Sportsmanship Banner! This is remarkable and a great honour to be chosen for this award. We will be displaying this prestigious award in the Sports Hall.

Here is an excerpt from the email we received:

“The values and ideals of sportsmanship are such an important part of a positive sporting experience for our student-athletes and it is a real honour for a team to be selected to receive the sportsmanship banner at a provincial event. Your team was chosen to receive the banner by the Provincial committee and in that selection alone, you can be sure that your team represented your school and zone with class and honour”
