Everything STS students benefit from today is due to the generosity of past generations of donors. Your gift – of any size – makes our STS even better and ensures we are creating our school's bold future together.
The STS community is steeped in a culture of participation. At school, students have an astounding number of choices outside of their core subjects that help them discover themselves, and the world.
Did you know that tuition and government grants cover all operating expenses, and fundraising dollars provide program and campus enhancements?
To give every student in each generation the true STS experience, we rely on donors like you.
A Friendly Competition
In support of our recent STS House rejuvenation focused on building connection, excitement, and a sense of belonging for ALL STS community members, we’ve added a fun, friendly competition to this year’s annual giving campaign between the four STS Houses: Buchan, Burns, Dover and Howard. Every donation received – no matter the size – will add a point to the donor’s House – this includes current families, alumni, and former employees and parents (if you aren’t sure what your House is let us know and we can find out for you). Points will be added to this year’s tally to determine the House Cup winners in June. Show your House spirit while supporting a great cause!
Maximize your Giving!
To maximize the impact of your gift while minimizing tax implications we welcome you to use this useful tool made specifically for STS called Giftabulator. Giftabulator is intended to be an easy-to-use tool to help you “play with numbers” to decide how to make your charitable donations in a way that works best for you. The tool is completely confidential, and none of the information entered is recorded or used for solicitation purposes. Try it out here.
This year’s annual giving priorities embrace the global competencies our students need to be successful and affirm our commitment to excellence in education through Head’s Initiatives, investing in our students through Scholarships and Bursaries, advancing professional development to ensure STS attracts, develops, and retains exceptionally talented and committed faculty through Teaching Excellence, and encouraging Learning Beyond the Classroom, as STS embarks on a fundraising initiative to acquire our very own school-owned bus, which will serve as a valuable asset, enhancing our educational offerings and extracurricular activities for students of all age groups.
Donations made to this initiative provide the Head of School the most latitude in allocating monies to the areas where they are most needed. Funds are often allocated to campus improvements, updates to learning spaces, and new programming. These investments add tremendous value to our school community on a daily basis. Support our leadership team to help address their current priority needs.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
This year, STS is fundraising to have a school-owned bus. This bus would facilitate off-campus programs and activities for all age groups, including tournaments, field trips, off-site classes, outdoor education trips, club competitions, and other events. Together, we can help our students explore, learn, and connect beyond the classroom!
Scholarships and Bursaries
This critical initiative guarantees that deserving learners are given the opportunity to receive an STS education despite financial constraints. The inclusion of our scholarship and bursary students mutually enriches our community in a multitude of ways. The value of an endowment for future students is priceless. Your contribution to these funds aligns with the vision of our forward-thinking trailblazers from many years ago.
Students and graduates of STS frequently talk about the profound connection made with the faculty and staff. Your contribution will be used to invest in these exceptional individuals, fueling their passion to educate and mentor students to the best of their abilities. As we work to ensure our community has access to the finest resources - people, tools, and learning - this is fundamental.
