The STS Speaker Series welcomes Dr. Sarah Elaine Eaton, Professor and Research Chair in the Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary and one of the world’s leading scholars in academic integrity and ethics in education. Through her research, writing, and international leadership, Dr. Eaton has helped shape global conversations about how educational institutions respond to emerging technologies and evolving understandings of academic integrity.
As artificial intelligence continues to transform teaching and learning, educators and institutions are being challenged to rethink long-standing assumptions about authorship, assessment, and learning. In this presentation, Dr. Eaton will explore the concept of a “post-plagiarism” era, examining how schools, universities, and society are adapting to new realities while maintaining integrity, trust, and meaningful learning.
